Getting Involved
Our plans to improve and transform city neighbourhoods can only succeed if they are shaped and supported by local people.
Gateway is committed involving local people in the delivery of our plans to create thriving and prosperous communities in the city. Every stage in the redevelopment of an area, from the drawing up of plans through to the building of new homes is guided by a set of commitments outlined in our residents' charter|.
So if you live in our strategic regeneration areas, we aim to make it as easy as possible for you to:
- find out more;
- ask questions and have your say;
- get involved in the planning and decision making process;
- receive training and support to help you develop the skills you will need to play a more active role in improving your community.
Working with Hull City Council and our development partners Keepmoat Homes|, Bellway|, Chevin Housing Association| and Places for People Group|, we do this in a number of ways:
- regeneration teams based in the heart of the community providing information, advice and support;
- regular newsletters|;
- consultation events;
- resident representation on our area partnership boards|
- a variety of training and engagement activities including our community design champions| programme.
